MUNTSTUNT!
A location theater performance in Woensel-West, Eindhoven.

De Muntstunt was a secret movement in the De Muntel neighbourhood of ’s-Hertogenbosch. Together with local residents, children, and community organisations, we created a series of unannounced interventions in the public space that playfully transformed the streetscape. Through small, unexpected actions, we aimed to surprise people, spark their curiosity, and encourage them to connect with one another and with their surroundings in new ways.
WORD SEARCH
During the first intervention, a giant word search appeared overnight in the square, created with chalk spray. A nearby lamppost displayed the list of words along with a box of coloured chalk. Before long, local residents gathered to search for and mark the hidden words together, turning the square into a shared puzzle.

A purple cabinet with a combination lock suddenly appeared in the neighbourhood. Residents received a riddle that revealed the code, allowing them to unlock the cabinet and discover a small gift. Before long, the community began refilling the cabinet themselves, transforming it into a place for sharing, surprising one another, and connecting.
GIFT BOX
PUZZLE
An illustration by a local designer was divided into 178 puzzle pieces. Four streets each received a portion of the puzzle through their letterboxes. Only by working together could residents complete the full image. The communal puzzle tables soon became places where neighbours met, talked, and connected.

CONNECT FOUR
A life-sized Connect Four game unexpectedly appeared in the neighborhood. The game discs were spread across the street, challenging residents to play against each other. Despite the rain, many residents came outside, leading to spontaneous encounters between neighbors.
